On the doubleheader…

It was good getting back on the field to get the season started. I thought the guys played hard and had a really good comeback win in the first game to pick up our teams first win. We ran into a couple of tough pitchers in the second game. We will get back to work Monday in order to get to where we need to by the end of the season.

Caleb Hill, Sophomore Outfielder

On the doubleheader...

I thought our pitchers did a good job and we swung it very well in the first game. Simon Larranaga did a great job coming off the bench and getting the walk off hit down 0-2. Pinch hitting may be one of the hardest things to do in baseball and he came up big. In the second game we just couldn't get anything going offensively. Our pitchers did a great job working out of jams and keeping the game close where our offense had a chance to scratch a couple to win the game. We have a lot of work to do. The job isn't finished.
