After five days away from action, the Temple College Leopards will start a five-game home stand on Sunday as they take on the Angelina College Roadrunners in non-conference doubleheader action.
First pitch of game one will be at 1 pm, with game two scheduled for 3:30 pm.
The last time the Leopards were in action was on Monday in a doubleheader split at Wharton County Junior College, with Leopards falling in the first game (8-0) and winning the second (6-2).
The Roadrunners were swept on Monday against Alvin Community College in Lufkin. The Dolphins swept Angelina, by scores of 8-5 and 5-1.
Temple (4-7) is hitting .231 with an on-base percentage of .353. The Leopards scored 47 runs on 69 hits, have 14 doubles, five homers, have walked 46 times and struck out 94 times.
Andrew Ermis leads the Leopards in batting average and on-base percentage with averages of .429 and .579 respectively and is tied for second on the team with 12 hits. Brayden Simmonds leads the team in RBI with nine, is second in batting average with a .405 mark, and is tied for second with 12 hits. Lance Cantrell leads the team with 15 hits and is fifth in OBP with a .452 mark.
The Roadrunners are hitting .278 with a .380 on-base percentage. Angelina has eight home runs, 63 runs batted in, have scored 72 times on 98 hits, 16 doubles, a triple, eight homers and 63 RBI.
Ashton Wagner (.412 BA, .444 OBP), Jacob Tanguma (.406 BA, .472), Stefano Ramos (.346 BA, .370 OBP) and Cole Standley (.345 BA, .486 OBP) are the Angelina leaders in batting average and on-base percentage.
