Temple College Baseball travels to Ranger College to complete four-game series

The Temple College Leopards will head northwest to take on Ranger College on Saturday to complete their NTJCAC four-game series.

Doubleheader gametimes are slated for 12 pm and 2:30 pm.

Temple won both games in run-rule fashion on Tuesday, by scores of 11-1 and 10-0, both in five-inning contests.

Temple outhit the Rangers over the 10 innings, 19-4. Patrick Collopy and Eric Tenery combined to strike out 12 and walk four over the two games.

Through 46 games, the Leopards hit .275 with an on-base percentage of .400 and slugging percentage of .405. TC scored 264 runs on 354 hits, 65 doubles, 5 triples, 31 homers, 233 runs batted in, 222 walks, been hit 57 times, and have stolen 63 bases in 73 attempts.

In 26 conference games, the Leopards hit .281 with an on-base percentage of .403 and a slugging percentage of .418

Kade Davis (.350 BA, .406 OBP, 5 HR, 33 RBI,10 doubles), Andrew Ermis (.328 BA, .488 OBP, 9 HR, 38 RBI, 23 HBP, 19 walks), Lance Cantrell (.324 BA, .440 OBP, 3 HR, 29 RBI, 10 doubles, 28 walks), and Ryder Rutledge (.309 BA, .430 OBP, 2 HR, 21 RBI, 19 walks) have been among the productive Leopards this season.

Temple's staff earned run average this season is 6.04, with 314 strikeouts and 194 walks in 327 2/3 innings.

Collopy (6-2, 2.69 ERA, 75 strikeouts, 20 walks in 63 2/3 IP), Tenery (5-3, 3.83 ERA, 49 strikeouts, 31 walks in 51 1/3 IP), Tobin Eschief (3-6, 5.29 ERA, 51 strikeouts, 24 walks in 47 2/3 IP), and Davis (3-5, 6.21 ERA, 33 strikeouts, 27 walks in 42 IP) have been the starting four in the rotation for Temple.

Ranger's pitching staff has an earned run average of 7.69, having allowed 290 earned runs (382 total runs), struck out 340 and walked 247 in 339 1/3 innings.
