TC Baseball hosts Hill College on Tuesday to start four-game series

The Temple College Leopards begin the final week of the regular series Tuesday afternoon at the Danny Scott Sports Complex as they host Hill College.

The twin-bill, originally scheduled for Wednesday, was moved forward to Tuesday due to the expected weather.

Game times of the doubleheader are 12 noon and 2:30 pm.

In the 2024 season, the Leopards took three out of four from the Rebels. At Hill, the Leopards won by scores of 2-0 and 80. In Temple, the teams split with the Leopards winning 10-0 in game won and the Rebels winning game two, 5-3.

Through 48 games, the Leopards hit .273 with an on-base percentage of .397 and slugging percentage of .403. TC scored 274 runs on 366 hits, 65 doubles, 5 triples, 33 homers, 243 runs batted in, 227 walks, been hit 59 times, and have stolen 63 bases in 76 attempts.

In 28 conference games, the Leopards hit .278 with an on-base percentage of .397 and a slugging percentage of .413

Kade Davis (.345 BA, .407 OBP, 5 HR, 33 RBI,10 doubles), Andrew Ermis (.331 BA, .486 OBP, 9 HR, 39 RBI, 24 HBP, 19 walks), Lance Cantrell (.316 BA, .429 OBP, 3 HR, 29 RBI, 10 doubles, 28 walks), and Ryder Rutledge (.307 BA, .430 OBP, 2 HR, 21 RBI, 19 walks) have been among the productive Leopards this season.

Temple's staff earned run average this season is 6.05, with 3333 strikeouts and 199 walks in 340 2/3 innings.

Patrick Collopy (6-2, 2.69 ERA, 75 strikeouts, 20 walks in 63 2/3 IP), Tenery (5-3, 3.83 ERA, 49 strikeouts, 31 walks in 51 1/3 IP), Tobin Eschief (3-6, 5.29 ERA, 51 strikeouts, 24 walks in 47 2/3 IP), and Davis (4-5, 5.33 ERA, 46 strikeouts, 27 walks in 49 IP) have been the starting four in the rotation for Temple.

Samuel York (.352 BA, .451 OBP, 4 HR, 36 RBI, 22 SB), Lane Walton (.320 BA, .404 OBP, 7 HR, 51 RBI), Dylan Martinez (.283 BA, .404 OBP, 24 RBI), Tanner Cooper (.278 BA, .429 OBP, 5 HR, 34 RBI), and Aiden Hatton (.273 BA, .489 OBP, 4 HR, 41 RBI, 39 walks, 14 HBP) are among the offensive leaders in the Rangers' arsenal.

Ranger's pitching staff has an earned run average of 7.29, having allowed 294 earned runs (327 total runs), struck out 325 and walked 222 in 363 innings.
