The Temple College baseball team traveled to Cisco on Saturday to conclude their North Texas Junior College Athletic Conference series with the Cisco College Wranglers.
The Leopards dropped a pair of one-run decisions on Wednesday at the Danny Scott Sports Complex and sought to gain a split in the conference series.
Temple's eight-run second inning in the opener paved the way for victory, and fueled momentum in the second game for the sweep.
The Leopards are now 8-4 in NTJCAC play, in third place in the conference, 22-13 overall. The win surpassed their overall win mark of 21 from 2025.
In the first game, Temple scored a run in the first inning, eight in the second, three in the fourth, and once in the fifth.
TC banged out ten hits in the opener. Peanut Brazzle went 2-for-3 with a homer, double, and four runs batted in. Chase Fricke homered and drove in two runs. Hunter Baros and Kanyon Millar drove in two runs each.
Joseph McMurtry picked up the complete game shutout, having dealt five innings of two-hit ball, having struck out eight, walked two, and hit a batter.
In the second game, Temple picked up a run in the second inning and added three more in the seventh.
Cisco scored twice in the eighth inning and once in the ninth before Carson Henderson shut down the final rally to clinch the game, the doubleheader sweep, and split in the series.
Wade Stallones had a two-run double, Kash Millar had an RBI single, and Fricke had two runs scored and two hits.
Kade Davis (3-3) picked up the win on the bump for the Leopards. He pitched three innings, allowed two runs on six hits, struck out nine and walked one. Quentin Medrano faced two batters and allowed one hit. Henderson pitched an inning for the save, allowed one run on three hits and struck out two.
Temple will host Grayson College (19-11 overall, 13-3 NTJCAC, tied with Weatherford) on Wednesday. The series start with a doubleheader at the Danny Scott Sports Complex. The series will conclude with a doubleheader Friday in Denison.
