Road rout: Telfort's 20-point first half paces TC to 116-84 win over DC-Cedar Valley

LANCASTER – The Temple College Leopards men's basketball team completed their pre-Christmas schedule Thursday afternoon, as they took on Dallas College – Cedar Valley in Lancaster.

Josh Telfort scored 20 points in the first half and 34 points for the game to lead the Leopards to a 116-84 win.

The Montreal, Quebec, Canada native hit 18 points on nine field goals and converted a pair of free throws, as he drilled 20 of Temple's 48 first-half points. He converted 8-of-9 free throws for the game.

Telfort, Anthony Cook, and Rasaun Collier each scored 14 points as part of the Leopards' 68-point output in the second half.

Temple College (9-4) hit 15 three-pointers in the game and converted 14-of-18 from the free-throw line.

Logan Myers and Jason Ward each chipped in 11 points, and Jaymes Brown-Peterson scored ten points, all in the first half.

The Leopards resume action on Tuesday, Dec. 31 at Coastal Bend College in Beeville.
