The Temple College Leopards men's basketball team began the 2025 portion of their schedule on the road at Angelina College in Lufkin.
The Roadrunners pulled away from the Leopards in the opening half and hung on for a 64-47 win over Temple.
Angelina (10-2) shot 45.2% from the field, as they held a 38-24 lead the half. The Roadrunners hit 4-of-14 from behind the three-point line (28.6%) and 4-of 11 from the free-throw line.
Chris Carpenter and Milton Rice III each scored 12 points for the Roadrunners.
Temple (10-5) shot 30.2% from the field, but only converted 3-of-25 from behind the arc, and went 6-of-15 from the charity stripe.
Josh Telfort led Temple with 12 points. Rasuan Collier added nine points, and Storm Gilchrist and Roy Gardner each chipped in seven points.
The Leopards will play their last non-conference game on Saturday as they will host Dallas College Eastfield at 4 p.m. on Kirby Johnson Court.
