The Temple College Leopards men's basketball team hosted the Dallas College – Eastfield Harvester Bees in their final non-conference tune up on Kirby Johnson Court Saturday afternoon.
The Leopards led wire-to-wire and led by as many as 28 points, as Temple flexed their bench in an 80-57 win over DCE.
TC set the tone out of the gate, as Rasuan Collier hit two of hit game-high seven three-pointers in the first two minutes of the game to help give the Leopards a 10-3 lead 4:17 into the contest.
Temple College's (11-5) high-powered offense was just as fierce defensively, as the Leopards' pressure forced several turnovers that TC turned into points and into a 17-point lead, 27-10, with 8:25 to go in the first half.
The Harvester Bees began to buzz their way back into the game in the final moments of the first half, as they managed to pull back to within eight by the halftime buzzer, 36-28.
The Leopards sprinted away from the Bees early in the second half, as they led 68-39 with ten minutes remaining.
DCE and Temple managed to continue their steady pace of play, despite a total of 44 fouls called.
Temple converted 14-of-23 free throws and added nine three-pointers.
Collier led the Leopards with 25 points, 21 on three-pointers. Storm Gilchrist added 15 points for Temple.
