The Temple College Leopards men's basketball hosts Weatherford on Wednesday evening at Kirby Johnson Court at 7 pm.
Temple goes into Wednesday night's tilt with a two-game lead over McLennan Community College, with both teams undefeated in conference play.
The Leopards have won their last five games, erasing double-digits in their last two. In their Saturday game in Hillsboro, Hill College led by 11 halfway into the second half before a patient run by the Temple College (15-5, 4-0 NTJCAC) erased the margin, forced overtime, and the Leopards defense clamped down on the Rebels in the extra period for a 90-85 win.
Jaymes Brown-Peterson was electric off the bench with 26 points. Joel Brown had 13 points, and the Leopards outrebounded the Rebels 46-41.
So far this season, Leopards have outscored their opponents on average, 82.1 to 74.4.
The Coyotes suffered their third home loss of the season on Saturday in a 78-74 defeat against Southwestern Christian College.
Donny Thomas scored 20 points off the bench for the Rams, which led four players in double figures for the Rams.
Weatherford (9-10, 2-2 NTJCAC) had four players in double-figures of their own, led by Marcus-Myen King-Danchie with 14 points off the bench.
So far this season, the Coyotes have outscored their opponents 78.7 to 63.9.
