The Temple College men's basketball team took on Navarro College in a non-conference game Friday night in Corsicana.

The Leopards and Bulldogs gutted it out in the 40-minute battle. However, Navarro came away late for the 87-85 win over the Leopards.

Temple shot well in the first half and led at the break, 48-37.

The Bulldogs rallied late, having outscored the Leopards in the second half 50-37 to edge Temple.

Five Leopards scored in double-digits with Jaymes Brown-Peterson having led the way with 20 points, five rebounds, and five steals.

Josh Telfort had 12 points and six rebounds, Tayshaun Goston added 12 points, and Joel Brown and Harry Bates each had 11 points for Temple.

Jalyn Olson Patterson had 20 points to lead Navarro. Liban Aadan scored 19 points, Jaquarious Patterson chipped in 12 points, and Michael Ratliff, Jr. added 11.

The Leopards will host Dallas College – Cedar Valley on Monday on Kirby Johnson Court at 7 pm.
