The Temple College men's basketball heads to the metroplex on Wednesday as they will face Dallas College – Mountain View Wednesday.
Temple (4-2) is coming off a hard-fought 83-79 win over Dallas College – North Lake on Saturday.
Josh Telfort logged a double-double with 20 points and 13 rebounds. Roy Gardner added 13 points and nine rebounds, Tayshaun Goston chipped in 14 points, four steals and three rebounds, and Jaymes Brown-Peterson poured in eight points, had five steals and four rebounds.
The Leopards average 93.8 points per game and allow 81.8, shoot 45.7% from the field, 31.1% from beyond the arc, 59.4% from the free throw line, pull down 48.5 rebounds per game, 17.2 assists, 15.2 steals, and 4.8 blocks.
Telfort averages 16 points per game with Brown-Peterson (11.8), Gardner (11.2), Harry Bates (11), and Jason Ward (10.8) average 60.8 points per game collectively as a starting unit.
Mountain View (4-4) broke a four-game losing streak Monday after defeating Nelson University JV 95-67. The Lions broke a 36-36 halftime tie by outscoring Nelson in the second half, 59-31.
The Lions average 84 points per game and allow 84.5 points, shoot 43.1% from the floor, 33.3% from behind the three-point line, convert 72.1% of their foul shots, and pull down 35 rebounds per game.
Cook averages 17.4 points per game, Richardson averages 17.1 points per tilt, and Chase Thomas and Jordan Wright average just shy of 12 points per game.
The game is the first of three this week for Temple on Friday, the Leopards head to Levelland to play in the South Plains Classic. On Friday, Temple faces Dallas College - North Lake at 2 pm. On Saturday, the Leopards take on South Plains at 2 pm.
