TC men’s basketball hosts Strength ‘N Motion Academy on Thursday afternoon

The Temple College men's basketball team will host Strength 'N Motion Academy in a Thursday afternoon battle at Kirby Johnson Court.

Game time from TC Pavilion is 2 pm.

The Leopards currently on a five-game losing streak, four to teams that are, or were, ranked in the NJCAA Division I Top 25 or Division III Top 15 polls.

TC took on SNMA twice in the 2024-2025 with Leopards taking both decisions, 92-61 (Nov. 20, 2004) and 106-62 (Dec. 4, 2004).

In the first game, Temple pulled down 76 rebounds, which included 32 offensive rebounds, had 25 assists, and 22 steals.

The balanced scoring in the first game was led by Josh Telfort's 12 rebounds and 14 blocks. Logan Myers scored 12 points off the bench.

In the second game, Temple led at the half, 65-17, and coasted to a 44-point win. The Leopards hauled in 74 rebounds, which included 38 offensive boards, had 27 assists and 18 steals.

Rasuan Collier led all scorers with 23 points, Jason Gardner had 14 points and ten rebounds off the bench, and Jason Ward contributed 12 points.

Temple (6-7) has averaged 87.8 points per game and allowed 87.4 points per contest. The Leopards average 46.2% from the field, 32.8% from beyond the arc, and 63.6% from the free-throw line.

Telfort (12.8 ppg), Gardner (12.4.ppg), Jayme Brown-Peterson (11.2 ppg), Ward (10.8 ppg), and Harry Bates (10.2 ppg) lead the Leopards' balanced scoring attack.

The game will be the last before Christmas for the Leopards, who will play SNMA again on Dec. 29.
