The Temple College Lady Leopards got a much needed 80-67 win over Hill College, but it may not be enough to get the Lady Leopards into the Region V Tournament. It seems the Lady Leopards would need eight wins to make the tournament and with two regular season games remaining and a 5-7 conference record the Lady Leopards would only be able to get to seven if they win out. If things play out in the Lady Leopards favor there is a slight chance there could be a three way tie with Ranger, either McLennan or Hill, and Temple all at 7-7, but there is a very small chance of that happening. Despite the shrinking post-season hopes, several Lady Leopards played well and four scored in the double digits. Sophomore Jamia Miller led Temple with 21 points. Miller had help from Alena Johnston with 19 points, Kristen Nelson with 15 points, and Kiana Reed with 12 points. The Lady Leopards are 14-13 overall and will be back in action Saturday February 24 at 2:00 p.m. when they host McLennan Community College.
