The Temple College women's basketball team used an explosive second half to defeat Cedar Valley College 69-47 at home to open up their 2018-2019 regular season. Returners Makayla Gatewood and Doriana Brown led the Lady Leopards each with a double-double on the night. Gatewood, a forward from Killeen, TX, scored 22 points and grabbed 16 rebounds. Brown, a forward from Georgetown, TX, scored 18 points and grabbed 10 rebounds. Sophomore transfer Treazure Mouton also chipped in 10 points. The Leopards are 1-0 on the year and will face Coastal Bend College at McLennan Community College in Waco tomorrow at 2:00 p.m.
