The Temple College Lady Leopards cruised past Coastal Bend College 87-66 to start off the Temple Classic at TC Gym. Sophomore Alena Johnston led the Lady Leopards with 31 points, shot 11-15 from the field, was 5-6 from behind the three-point line, and was a perfect 4-4 in free throws. Tia Tolbert scored 19 points, Doriana Brown had a double-double with 13 points and 10 rebounds, Brooke Lopez scored 10 points, and Makayla Gatewood grabbed 10 rebounds. The Lady Leopards are 4-0 and will face San Antonio College at 2:00 p.m. tomorrow at TC Gym to finish off the Temple Classic.
