Temple College took a three-point lead into the half against 20^th-ranked Odessa College, but saw that lead slip to a six-point deficit entering the fourth quarter. Temple outscored Odessa 13-10 in the last quarter but it wasn't enough to overcome Odessa and the Leopards suffered their first loss, 56-53, since late November. Makayla Gatewood scored 14 points to lead the Lady Leopards. Doriana Brown scored 13 points and Alena Johnston scored 10 points.

The Leopards are now 9-3 overall and will continue play in the McLennan Classic against Paris Junior College at 5:00 p.m. tomorrow January 3 in Waco.
