The Temple College Lady Leopards used a dominant first quarter to jump out to a quick 23-11 lead, and held on just enough to resist the Highlassie fourth quarter surge to earn their first conference win, 76-73, tonight at TC Gym. The Lady Leopards were led by stellar performance from three of their sophomores, Doriana Brown with 24 points, Makayla Gatewood had a double-double with 19 points and 15 rebounds, and Alena Johnston scored 13 points. Guard Brooke Lopez also added 11 points.

The Lady Leopards are now 12-7 overall and 1-4 in conference. TC will be back in action Wednesday January 23 at 5:30 p.m. on the road at Ranger College.
