The Temple College Leopards women's basketball hosts Weatherford on Wednesday afternoon at Kirby Johnson Court at 5 pm.
The winner of the game will move out of a fourth-place deadlock between the Leopards, Coyotes, and Cisco College as the North Texas Junior College Athletic Conference race passes the quarter-mark.
Temple College (12-6 overall, 2-2 NTJCAC) is coming off an 81-47 road win at Hill College, which snapped a two-game slide. Janiya Davis scored 18 points off the bench, while Mychal White and Jaylice Rosario each netted 14.
The Leopards shot 57.9% (33-of-57) from the field, which included 6-of-12 from beyond the arc, and 9-of-12 from the free-throw line. They out-rebounded Hill 34-23, had 19 assists, 12 steals, and seven blocks.
Temple has outscored its opponents on average 78.9 to 65.5 this season.
Weatherford College (9-7 overall, 2-2 NTJCAC) rode a big first half in a 105-69 win over Southwestern Christian College.
Jacque Giron and Neso Anisiobi both scored 20 points, Zion Hayes added 15 points, and Pearson McVay chipped in ten points.
The Coyotes shot 53.2% from the field, 37.5% from behind the three-point stripe, and 53.1% from the free-throw line. Weatherford outrebounded the Rams 47-30, had 27 assists and 18 steals.
Weatherford has outscored its opponents on average 78.7 to 63.9 this season.
