It is not often that a Temple College athlete wins a North Texas Junior College Athletic Conference Player of the Week honor. It is rarer that one wins the honor twice.
For Temple College women's basketball standout Jaylice Rosario, she has claimed her third NTJCAC Women's Basketball Player of the Week honor of the calender year, and second in as many weeks.
Rosario, a 5-10 freshman from Maloney High School in New Haven, CT, recorded a double-double in Temple's road win at Collin County Community College. She had 18 points (50%), ten rebounds, four steals, four blocks and two assists. In the Lady Leopards' road loss against No. 25 Grayson College, she scored 24 points, shooting 57% from the field, and had seven rebounds, one block and an assist.
Rosario was previously honored the week of Jan. 4 and Feb. 12.
The Leopards play at Weatherford College on Saturday at 2 pm.
