The Temple College women's basketball team will host the Blinn College Buccaneers in a matchup of two of the best rebounding teams in the nation.

The Leopards last action last Saturday when they took on the Angelina College Roadrunners. Temple survived a late Angelina rally to register a 56-54 win.

Chyna Nixon led the Leopards with 12 points, Antronea Jackson added 11, and Ranyiah Hunt contributed ten points.

Through 11 games, Temple (9-2) has averaged 68.2 points per contest and have allowed 52.1 points per tilt, which is 16^th lowest nationally. The Leopards shoot 32.8% from the field, 28.4% from behind the three-point line, and 62.8% at the free-throw line.

Temple is second in the nation in offensive rebounds with 20.6 per game, trailing only Chipola College (23.1 per game). The Leopards are eighth nationally with 31.5 defensive boards per contest, and tied for fifth with Copiah-Lincoln Community College with an average of 52.1 rebounds per game.

The Leopards are second in the nation with 7.5 blocks per contest, trailing only Cochise College (9.0 rpg). Gabby Edo is fifth in the nation with 33 blocks and an average of 3 per game.

TC is ninth nationally with 15.7 steals per matchup, and 14.4 assists per game.

Hunt leads the Leopards in scoring with 12 points per game. Korina Garcia averages 9.1, Ke'Myreul Wheaton averages 8.3, Sy'Nariea Snow averages 8.2 and Edo pours in 7.9.

Blinn averages 70.4 points per game and gives up 52.5 points per contest, good for 19^th in the nation. The Buccaneers shot 36.9% from the field, 30.4% from beyond the three-point arc, and 61.1% from the charity stripe.

The Buccaneers average 20.5 offensive rebounds, just behind TC for third nationally. Blinn is a position ahead of TC in the defensive rebound department with 31.8, and is fourth nationally in total rebounds with 52.2.

Blinn's average assist per game total is impressive at 19.8, good for 8^th nationally. The Buccaneers also average 10.8 steals and 2.2 blocks per game.

The Buccaneers' five starters average between 6.3 and 9.9 points per player per game. Mariah Houston averages 9.9 points per game, while Jasey Campbell averages 8.8 points per contest.
