The Temple College Leopards women's basketball team played their second homer game of their North Texas Junior College Athletic Conference schedule against Hill College on Saturday afternoon at Kirby Johnson Court.
The Rebels pulled away from the Leopards in the fourth quarter to capture a 68-61 win over the Leopards.
Following a 6-6 tie at the midpoint of the first quarter, Hill mounted a 9-0, two-minute run to take a 15-6 lead.
Temple responded with an 11-5 stretch to end the opening ten minutes, as they trailed the Rebels at the end of the quarter, 21-17.
Temple (11-7 overall, 1-3 NTJCAC) opened the second quarter on a 7-2 run to take at 24-22 lead with 7:30 left in the half.
The teams traded the lead back and forth down the final four minutes of the half, as TC led at the halftime break, 36-35.
Hill took the lead for good with 2:45 left in the third quarter, and led going into the fourth period, 50-48.
The Rebels opened a ten-point lead in the middle of the fourth quarter.
Temple worked the margin back to five points in the final 30 seconds, but got no closer.
Hill (11-6 overall, 2-1 NTJCAC) converted 4-of-7 foul shots and drained five three-pointers.
Kiah Goynes led the Rebels with 21 points and Kamarie Hardemann added 16 points.
The Leopards hit six three-pointers and converted 10-of-18 free-throws.
Emori Lasalle led all scorers with 22 points for Temple. Antronea Jackson added 13 points, and Korina Garcia chipped in ten points.
Temple will travel to Weatherford on Wednesday afternoon to take on the Weatherford College Coyotes.
