Temple College Goes 1-2 at the Lee College Tri-Match

Temple College volleyball lost their first match up of the day against #18 ranked Wharton College in three sets 19-25, 14-25, 18-25. Abigail Royall and Hannah Smyers led the offense combining for 13 of Temple's 26 kills. Smyers also led in assists with 13. Mikayla Blount and Taylor Beltz each had 10 digs.

Temple College also lost their second match up of the day to Western Texas College in four sets 23-25, 25-20, 13-25, 18-25. Landri Greathouse was hot on offense with 15 kills and Mikayla Blount also provided 22 assists. Abigail Royall led the defense with 12 digs.

Temple College finished out the tri-match strong with a victory over the host team, Lee College, in five sets 23-25, 25-17, 20-25, 25-23, 15-13. Offensively Landri Greathouse had 15 kills, Alysia Espada and Abigail Royall each had 13 kills, and Hannah Smyers chipped in 11 kills. Mikayla Blount had 34 assists and Smyers and Taylor Beltz each had 16 digs.

The Leopards are now 9-11 on the season and will get back into conference action when they face Vernon College at home on Monday night at 6:00 p.m.
