Temple College volleyball player Alysia Espada signed a letter of intent this morning to continue playing at Huston-Tillotson University next season. The sophomore outside hitter averaged 2.72 kills per set, and had a total of 313 kills on the season which ranked her at 59th in the nation for Division 1 volleyball players. Espada had a season high 20 kills in a five set matchup against Navarro College on September 20th.
Here is what Head Coach Katrina English had to say, "Espada has been a big part of our success the last two seasons. She has grown tremendously as a player and as an individual. She is a great leader and her passion for the game is undeniable. I am excited to see her continued growth at Huston-Tillotson and happy she is continuing in the sport she loves. She will be greatly missed here at TC."
