The Temple College Volleyball team continues their second leg of their schedule on Saturday as they head to Waco to take on McLennan Community College.

First serve at The Highlands will be at 1 pm.

The Leopards are coming off a tough loss to Cisco College at Kirby Johnson Court on Wednesday, 3-1. Scores of the match were 25-11, 23-25, 25-22, and 25-23. Yasmine Traore (11 digs, ten kills) and Karlee Williamson (31 assists, 12 digs) had statistical double-doubles, Lana Wright added ten kills, and Hannah Ward added 15 digs.

The Highlanders are completing a busy week, with four tough matches in six days. MCC lost against Weatherford College, 3-0, at Navarro College, 3-1, at Vernon College, 3-2, and rallied to reverse sweep Coastal Bend College, 3-2.

The schools' first volleyball meeting against one another was at Kirby Johnson Court on Sept. 10. The Highlanders downed the Leopards, 3-0, by scores of 25-19, 25-10, and 25-17.

Brooke Rimlinger had 13 kills, Francesca Carbone had 23 assists, and Jayla Lee added 11 digs for the Highlanders.

Kharma Brown led the Leopards with seven kills, Abbie Soileau contributed ten assists, and Ward chipped in ten digs.

While Temple (7-17 overall, 1-10 NTJCAC) is six games out of a playoff spot with seven games to play, the Leopards can play spoiler for MCC (7-12 overall, 4-7 NTJCAC) as they sit three games in back of Vernon with seven games left on their schedule.
