TC Volleyball to celebrate Sophomore Day, hosts Hill College

The Temple College volleyball team will celebrate its three sophomores on Wednesday at their North Texas Junior College Athletic Conference matchup against Hill College at Kirby Johnson Court.

First serve will be at 6 pm.

Middle blocker Lana Wright, opposite side hitter Riley Mendiola and outside hitter Grace Schneider will be honored at the contest.

Wright, in her second year with Leopards, hails from Manor, TX. Mendiola, also her second year with TC Volleyball, is a native of Bulverde, TX. Schneider, who spent her freshman season with Wharton Junior College and is in her first season with the Leopards, is from Little River Academy, TX.

Preceding the game as part of Temple College Spirit Week, a Blackout Tailgate will be held at the gymnasium starting at 4:30 pm. Hot dogs and nachos will be served while supplies last.

Temple and Hill met back on Sept. 20 in Hillsboro, with the Rebels having swept the Leopards 3-0. Scores of the match were 25-13, 25-9, and 25-23.
