Leopards Take 2 from Ranger at Home

Game 1:

Temple College Leopards won big over Ranger College 8-0 in game 1.

Temple College opened the scoring in the bottom of the second thanks to two singles. The Leopards first got on the board when Hannah Wiggins singled, scoring one run. They added four more runs in the bottom of the fourth inning on four hits. Elise Munoz doubled, scoring two runs, and Adelyn Becerra homered to center field, scoring two runs.

The Leopards added two more runs in the bottom of the fifth inning on three hits. Lily Garcia hit a solo home run to center field, and Munoz singled, scoring one run.

Haley Crawford stepped in the circle first for Temple College. The starting pitcher allowed seven hits and zero runs over five innings, striking out five and walking none. 

Temple College Leopards amassed 11 hits in the game. Becerra, Maveryck Lightfoot, and Munoz each collected two hits for the Leopards. Munoz seized on their opportunities, leading Temple College with three runs batted in from the number eight spot in the lineup. The outfielder went 2-for-2 on the day. Temple College ran wild on the base paths, amassing four stolen bases for the game.

 

Game 2:

Temple College got on the board in the bottom of the second inning after Maveryck Lightfoot doubled, and Channing Lipe singled, each scoring one run.

The Leopards scored one run in the bottom of the fourth on a solo home run to center field by Lily Garcia. Temple College scored three runs in the bottom of the fifth on a home run to center field by Adelyn Becerra.

Lightfoot homered to left field, scoring two runs in the bottom of the sixth for the Temple.

Emily Delgado stepped in the circle first for Temple College. The starting pitcher surrendered five hits and zero runs over six innings, striking out seven and walking none. 

Alyssa Budisalovich and Lightfoot were a force together in the lineup, as they each collected two hits for Temple College. Becerra and Lightfoot each drove in three runs for the Leopards. Lipe and Budisalovich each stole multiple bases for Temple. The Leopards stole five bases in the game. Temple College didn't commit a single error in the field.
