The 2026 National Fastpitch Coaches Association NJCAA Division I Midwest All-Region Teams were announced on Monday afternoon by the organization.
Temple College Softball had four players named to the teams.
Temple College pitcher Izzy Garcia was one of three Midwest Region pitchers that were named to First Team All-Region, along with Grayson College's Natalie Moreaux and Jefferson College's Meena Taylor.
Garcia, a native of Troy, Texas and a first-year Leopard, went 24-11 with a 1.78 earned-run average. In 141. 1/3 innings, Garcia allowed 45 runs (36 earned) on 84 hits, walked 39 and struck out 154. Opponents hit just .162 against Garcia.
Having also served as designated player and first baseman, Garcia hit .394 with a .447 on-base percentage, collected five home runs and drove in 33 runs. She also did not make an error in 26 opportunities.
Reese Cottrell was named to the Midwest All-Region Second Team at first base.
Cottrell, a native of Franklin, Texas and a second-year Leopard, hit .445 with a .530 on-base percentage with 25 doubles, 12 homers, 70 runs batted in and 36 walks. Cottrell also had a .995 fielding percentage with one error in 203 chances.
Cottrell went 9-2 with a 1.94 earned run average in the circle, pitched 65 innings, allowed 21 runs (18 earned) on 37 hits, walked 23 and struck 41 in 22 appearances. Opponents hit .159 against her.
Lexi Dudeczka was named to the Midwest All-Region Second Team in one of the three outfield positions, joining Eastern Oklahoma State College's Maisie Wells and Three Rivers College's Addison Fullbright.
Dudeczka, a native of Salado, Texas and a second-year Leopard, hit .436 with a .493 on-base percentage, hit one homer, drove in 38 runs, collected 15 doubles, four triples, stole 30 bases, and walked 23 times. Dudeczka committed just two errors in 58 chances in right field.
Kaiyah Ratu was named to the Midwest All-Region Second Team at the Utility Player position.
Ratu, a first-year Leopard from Christchurch, New Zealand, caught, played third base and first base this season. She hit .386 with a .453 on-base percentage, 15 homers, 52 runs batted in and had 12 doubles. Ratu also had a .995 fielding percentage, having committed just one error in 198 chances.
Temple went 53-6 overall in 2026 and went 30-2 in Region V's North Texas Junior College Athletic Conference. The Leopards won the Southwest District B Tournament last week and will represent the district in next week's 2026 National Junior College Athletic Association Division I Softball College World Series in Oxford, Alabama.
