The Temple College Leopards had a change in venue due to weather issues at the 2026 NJCAA DI JUCO World Series on Friday.
The Leopards traveled to Jacksonville, Alabama, to take on top-seeded Florida SouthWestern State College in a 9 am first pitch.
FSW scored a run in the first and nine in the second inning to coast to a 12-2 win over the Leopards.
The nine runs in one inning is the most scored by the Leopards, and ten runs was the largest margin of loss for TC this season.

Brooklyn Walton and Kaiyah Ratu each had triples. Lexi Dudeczka drove home Walton on a ground out and Ryley Litchfield singled home Ratu for the lone runs of the game.
All for Temple pitchers saw action in the game, having surrendered a collective 12 runs on 12 hits, two walks and two strikeouts.
The Leopards were slated to take on Santa Fe College at 1:30 pm in Jacksonville. Right after starting lineups were introduced, the game was delayed for nearly three hours due to lightning, thunder, and rain.
When the game got underway at 4:20 pm, Temple scored three consecutive two-run innings, getting a trio of homers from Angie DeLeon, Ratu, and Reese Cottrell to eliminate the Saints, 7-1.
In the bottom of the second, Ratu doubled to start the inning. Litchfield's single up the middle scored Ratu. Izzy Garcia reached on an error from a bunt to score Litchfield and gave Temple a 2-0 lead.
Garcia cruised through the middle stages of the game and received contributions, both offensively and defensively.
With one out in the third, Jasmine Benavidez singled to left. On a 1-0 pitch, Cottrell homered over the 235-foot mark in centerfield to give the Leopards a 4-0 lead.
Sydney English collected the Saints' lone run with a homer over the right-field fence to cut Santa Fe's margin to three in the top of the fourth. The Saints loaded the bases, but Garcia pitched out of trouble.
Garcia singled to start the bottom of the fourth. On the next pitch, DeLeon hit a rocket over the centerfield homer for a two-run shot to put Temple up 6-1.
The Temple infield converted two double plays: one in the top of the second inning when Litchfield snagged a line shot at third base off the bat of Rylie Blankenship and fired to KyLeigh Cambiano to double up Tegan Grizzard, and one in the fifth inning when English bounced a ball to Benavidez at shortstop, flipped a throw to Cambiano for the first out, and Cambiano fired to first to double off Molly Bender.
The Leopards picked up their final run with two outs in the fifth when Ratu hit a monster shot into the middle of the scoreboard screen in right-centerfield to put Temple up, 7-1.
Temple collected seven hits, lead by Ratu's two hits. Cottrell and DeLeon each collected two RBI.
Garcia picked up the complete game win in the circle, having allowed one run on six hits, walked four and struck out four.
With the win, Temple at least a top four finish in the double-elimination tournament.
Temple (56-7) will play Paris Junior College on Saturday afternoon at 3:15 pm in an elimination game at Signature Field in Oxford, Ala. The winner of that game will play at 5:30 pm Saturday against the loser of Florida SouthWestern and Northeast Alabama.
